One UK couple has just received 24 – count ‘em! – toasters as wedding gifts.

Like so many other couples regarding wedding gifts, they requested their 160 guests give them cash (which comes in everyone’s favourite colour: green; favourite size: XXXL) and gift certificates which they planned to put towards their honeymoon (clever clogs).

Unluckily, the groom had told his mates they didn’t want to end up with “a million toasters”. So, you guessed it…. They returned all but 23 of the standard 2-slot toasters to Tesco.

I guess we all like a bit o’ crumpet in the morning!
